Give Me the Words Evite
Hi!

The Newman Center Music Ministry at UW is putting on a benefit concert to support an organization called Safe Passage, and this is an invitation for you to come! Every day at the Guatemala City Dump, 4000 people dig through 500 tons of fresh trash to pull out recylable material. Our brothers and sisters at the dump are barely surviving, and that toxic environment is no place to live.

The Safe Passage English Program is a key part of breaking this cycle of poverty: armed with English these children can get work in tourism, in technology, in places outside the dump. The Newman Center Music Ministry is presenting a benefit concert called "Give Me the Words" to raise the money Safe Passage needs to continue their English Program.

You can be part of this! Please join us on October 13th at 8pm at St. Joseph's parish in Capitol Hill for the "Give Me the Words" benefit concert to help the children living around the Guatemala City dump. The suggested donation for each ticket is $15. It's going to be an amazing evening filled with joy, hope, and compassion, so please come make a difference!
